In the examination of competing sovereignty claims, it is vital to distinguish between claims based on well-founded legal positions and arguments, as opposed to claims that are political assertions, opinions and desiderata. This lecture will focus on why and how the concerted UN and ICJ actions, pursued incessantly over the last decades, aimed at negating Israel’s territorial sovereignty rights, are egregiously unjustified and why they must be wholly repudiated.
